Yoga Retreat in Dhampus (near Pokhara, Nepal)

Immerse yourself in nature's embrace and embark with us on a unique yoga adventure to the village of Dhampus!

Dhampus is a small village at around 1,800 meters altitude, about one hour drive from Pokhara. Surrounded by lush greenery and with stunning views on the Annapurna Himalayas, this retreat offers both a tranquil, blissful haven but also a paradise for hiking and nature exploration.

With golden sunrays peeking over the mountains, get to start your day with a yoga session with majestic views on the whole Annapurna range, while also getting a chance to explore the local surrounding hills during nature hikes throughout the day.

On this yoga retreat, you will get a chance to:

  • Practice yoga, including breathing techniques (pranayama), on a daily basis. Beginners will get the chance to get a taste of yoga and build a good foundation for their yogic journey. More experienced yogis will deepen their practice and gain further inspiration for their ongoing yoga journey.

  • Hike to the popular hilltop of "Australian Camp" for a close-up view on the Annapurna Himalayas

  • Learn about the local culture and see authentic nepalese villages

  • Taste organic healthy foods and specialties

  • Wake up to stunning sunrise views on the Annapurna Himalayan range

The Program

Available from March-June 2024 for 3 days/2 nights - please send us an enquiry with your preferred dates!

Pick-up from Lakeside, Pokhara and return transport is provided.

Activities:

- Daily yoga and meditation sessions 

- Sunrise yoga with mountain views

- Village and jungle walk

- Guided trek to hilltop of "Australian Camp" for close-up views on the Himalayas

Sample schedule for this 3 days/2 nights retreat:

Day 1: Pick up in Lakeside, Pokhara and drive to Dhampus, followed by lunch. Rest & relaxation, followed by afternoon Yoga and Meditation. Dinner.

Day 2: Sunrise yoga & pranayama (breathwork) with views on the Himalayas, followed by breakfast. Village walk and tour, and enjoy a healthy lunch together. Afternoon Yoga and Meditation. Dinner.

Day 3: Sunrise yoga & pranayama (breathwork) with views on the Himalayas, followed by breakfast. Hike to "Australian Camp" hilltop and view point. Hike back to Dhampus, have lunch and return back to Pokhara.

Retreat location

The retreat venue is located in a resort in Dhampus village, close to Pokhara, Nepal. From here, the views on the Annapurna Himalayan Range as well as the surrounding hills and towns are just stunning. The hilltop station and view point "Australian Camp" is just a short hike away from Dhampus and offers a mesmerizing close-up view on the mountains.

The retreat in Dhampus offers spacious and bright private rooms (Queen sized bed) with attached bathroom and hot shower. There is a huge garden and a beautiful rooftop space for practicing yoga. From all rooms we have views on the Himalayan mountains. The food will be entirely vegetarian/vegan organic meals with vegetables sourced from the local farms.

Pricing and Inclusions

Pricing for 3 days/2 nights:
200 USD all included

Included:
- all retreat, guided hiking and yoga activities
- accomodation in private room with attached bathroom and mountain & garden view
- all meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner, tea, snacks)
- transportation from Pokhara to Dhampus and back to Pokhara on the last day

 
+ 70 USD for any additional night 
We also organize retreats for private groups at your chosen dates!

Note: Yoga mats will be provided. You can bring your big suitcase or backpack.
 

Terms and conditions

We require a reservation via e-mail or the "Book online" page of this website. 

The full price of the 2 night/3 day retreat can be paid upon arrival. If you wish for a longer retreat, Madan Yoga reserves the right to ask for a deposit payment. If the retreat must be cancelled by Madan Yoga, this deposit will of course be fully refunded. Please note that all fees are non-negotiable.
