Kirtan, the practice of chanting mantras and devotional singing, usually accompanied by musical instruments, is one of the traditional forms of practicing Bhakti Yoga. Bhakti Yoga is known as the "path of devotion". A coming together of people, Kirtan chants are often sung in call-and-response style and in Sanskrit language. In a Kirtan session, as we sing the chants in a community, we experience a deep connection with the musicians, the other audience members and with ourselves. Therefore, it has a highly curative effect on the body and mind, in fact, Kirtan is also a very simple and powerful way to meditate. Through the sound, we create positive vibrations and harmony.
At Madan Yoga retreats, we are offering Kirtan sessions on multiple occasions - a great possibility for you to dive deep into the practice of Bhakti Yoga.
