Prana Vidya Retreat in Astam (near Pokhara)
Prana Vidya is an ancient and powerful spiritual, physical and emotional healing practice. "Prana" means life energy, breath or life force; "vidya" means knowledge. Prana Vidya practices systematically direct prana – life energy – in specific channels within us and around us. The Sanskrit word Prana also means "flow": When Prana is not flowing, mental, emotional & physical blockages and imbalances arise. Thus, the immediate aim of Prana Vidya is to use Prana in a conscious and benefitial way, to awaken the life force within us, while cultivating inner wisdom and life-transforming insight.
In this unique 6-day yoga retreat, we will learn to develop an awareness for the nature of prana. We will explore techniques on how to dissolve the pranic blockages in our physical, mental and emotional bodies and how we can balance prana in a sustainable way.
We will further explore how the practices of Prana Vidya can awaken the potential within our energy bodies and mind, which in turn leads to new learning to use this energy for self-healing.
